El Matador

Finally got out of Burbank. I was pretty ill prepared for this one. I was freezing under the rocks (needed the shade for the glare) and was wearing a light shirt (so it glared anyway, just not as bad). I had to take a break to feel my fingertips 20 minutes in. I think I spent about just under an hour and a half on this. Next time, sweater, dark shirt, and something to sit on.

This is great! I've been meaning to get back over there and do some painting. This is actually inspiring me to get back out there. :D

Thanks:) someone else asked about my set up. I should probably post a link in my profile to a post where I describe it in depth....

I use the sketchbook pro app and a griffin stylus. I've heard there are better stylus, like the wacom one, but the griffin is fine by me. My workflow is set up where I have 4 flattened oval brushes at 100% opacity; vertical, horizontal, 45 degrees right and left. I use the airbrush at a really low opacity to blend colors that I can't get with the sliders, like a subtle value shift. Hope that helps.
